Richard Geddes grew up on the South Coast of England which serves as the setting for his work. He has lived in London for 20 something years and is on the lookout for the next place to call home, current contenders being Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Paris once he finally sorts out his Irish Passport.
He wrote SHE CRIES YOUR NAME over a series of weekends back in 2016 after first conceiving the basic idea on a trip to Camber in 2004 (All Tomorrow’s Parties curated by Vincent Gallo, big up if you went) he hoped it would make him enough money to quit his temping job in the NHS; it didn’t.
Fast forward to 2021 the temping job became permanent and was followed by a couple of promotions, he has spent that time learning his craft as a writer and self publisher and hopes to turn this full time hobby into a full time career.
Before the aforementioned jobs he also worked for many years in London’s retail fashion scene and the film industry specialising in titles from East Asia for Terracotta Distribution and programming films from Hong Kong and Taiwan for the Terracotta Far East Film Festival as well as curating the Terror-Cotta Asian Horror all nighter. He went on to co-found sister label Sharp Teeth Films releasing acclaimed documentary RUBBLE KINGS and Russian found-footage cannibal gore-fest SHOPPING TOUR before walking away from films to concentrate on writing.
